Unholy union

*** Warning: There’s a fair amount of not-subtle-at-all innuendo in that story. You’ve been warned. ***

Night was, well, a midlander dark knight and she was travelling through Coerthas in search of… something.

Or maybe someone.

She wore no armor. She didn’t need to nor did she want to. She wore an orange and white outfit and her blond hair was tied in a ponytail.

It was in late summer when the days were comfortable but the nights cold. The sun was setting as she approached a small hamlet where she hoped she could spend the night.

Right at the outskirts of the village, a friendly elder hailed her. “Greetings, traveller. What brings you to these parts?”

“I hear an evil lord is terrorizing these parts. I would confront the miscreant and put an end to his tyranny.”

“Oh, I wouldn’t do that if I were you, young lady. The lord abducts young women and when they eventually come back, they’re so broken they can’t even talk.

You are looking at a fate worse than death. The lord does unspeakable things to his victims for sure.”

Night lowered her head, blushed and mumbled, “yes, he’d do terrible things to me. Really terrible.”

“What’s that?” asked the elder.

“Oh sorry, nothing, nevermind me.”

On that, the sound of a bell being rung frantically came from the village square.

The elder motioned to Night to follow him, “the alarm, we have to take shelter, quick.

The bandits coming our way will pillage the place a bit then be gone, they don’t bother people who stay inside.”

But Night didn’t move. “I have to see them for myself.”

“Young lady, this is foolishness, they are many, you are alone. You will only get yourself hurt or killed.”

The elder ran inside the closest house while the sound of a mob could be heard coming from the direction Night herself came from.

She could see the mob still a way afar, moving swiftly toward the village. She decided to meet them halfway.

They were a disorganised bunch, wielding improvised weapons and wearing no armor. They had no horses and no carts.

Little wonder they didn’t plunder much, they didn’t have the means to carry much back.

Still, when they were within shouting distance, she pointed a finger at them and yelled, “I am Night of Riversmeet, who dares to fight me?”

The crowd stopped right there, surprised at such a challenge. A big burly man who was front row and center walked forward and answered,

“You’re just an idiot, I will strike you down so hard you will feel it all the way to hell.”

The man was carrying a roughly carved piece of wood, a really big stick.

Night lowered her head and mumbled, “I hope you can back these words you big oaf.”

“Scared out of your wits already? I’m going to enjoy this.” shouted the brigand.

With that he ran toward Night, his big club in hands and struck straight at her face.

But instead of the pleasant contact with flesh he was expecting, he felt like he had struck a block of cold hard steel.

Night had been hit straight in her face, but she didn’t recoil or flinch at all. She was just standing up looking bored.

“What’s that? You sure you’re a man, I didn’t feel anything.”

Insulted, the brigand struck again and again but to no avail all while Night was standing up immobile.

Night started moaning and mumbling; “harder, faster”. No one heard her at first, but she got louder after a moment and many people in the crowd were creeped out.

A woman from the crowd walked toward the man, “let’s go away.” But the man, now sweating and panting from the exertion would not give up.

The woman went on, “don’t be an idiot, what do you think will happen when she takes out that big sword of hers? You’ll end up impaled on it.”

With that thought, the big man’s whole body clenched. “Let’s pull out.” He yelled and no one in the crowd thought of doing otherwise.

They all fled in the direction they came from. “Wait,” yelled Night, but nobody no one waited.

***

A small crowd of villagers gathered about 25 yalms away from Night, no one appearing eager to get anywhere close to Night.

The elder who had welcomed Night earlier approached her and said, “Miss, if you wish to confront that up-to-no-good lord, you need to cross the village and follow the road to the West.

Surely someone else, I mean, someone, along the way will be able to help you with directions.”

“It’s getting late,” replied Night, “I would stay the night here.”

“Yes. Stay the night here. Of course… that’s… reasonable… of course.” stammered the elder.

“We will have provisions ready for you first thing in the morning, we would not want to delay you. Is there anything else we may provide to make sure your travel is as swift, I mean, as safe as possible?”

***

Night resumed her travel and in the next few days, she was told about a black carriage driven by a young elezen lord.

She was also warned that the lord had the “evil spirit” and that he was too dangerous for her to confront.

Night couldn’t quite say why, but those who warned her about the “evil spirit” often seemed like they wanted her off as quickly as possible afterward.

Or maybe it was her imagination. Who knew?

Still, the directions took her to an area where no women dared to go outside. Surely, if she wandered around there long enough, she would attract the attention of the evil lord.

***

It was at sunset again, a black carriage pulled by a single chocobo caught up with Night.

The carriage was ominous. With a huge padlock on its only door, it was as much a cage as a vehicle.

A lone wildwood was handling the rein, stopped the carriage and stepped down.

He was wearing a fancy looking blue outfit and a blue mask.

“So the gossips were true, a lone woman carrying a big sword. You’re really asking for it.” spoke the elezen loudly.

“I intend to bring you back to my home, by force preferably” he continued.

“You must be the evil kidnapper terrorizing the good people here, then,” replied Night as she unsheathed her sword.

“That sword of yours will do you no good.” the man threatened, waving a cane of his in front of him.

His weapon was more modest but natural. His opponent’s was artificial, but much bigger.

— She challenged him; “Show me what you can do with that cane of yours.”

The young man was confident enough, and yet, though he would not admit it, he saw that sword as a threat to himself.

“Oh, I can do things not just with my weapon. Hold on tight to something, I won’t be gentle and it’s going to be a rough ride.”

The man’s whole body tensed up and then there was a white flash.

Night’s body suddenly hurt all over the place. She would have screamed in agony but she was completely paralyzed.

It didn’t last long, a flash in the pan, but even with the pain subsiding, she was left trembling and not even able to stand or hold her sword.

Clutching her chest, she fell to her knees then crumbled face down on the ground while moaning; “yes, yes.”

The elezen wiped some sweat from his brow. He always felt relaxed, even a little groggy after invoking his evil spirit.

Cane still in hand, he approached Night, intent on picking up his loot. But Night slowly stood up, picked up her sword and started waving it sluggishly before her.

“That’s hardly fair,” exclaimed Night smiling weakly.

“All is fair in love and war,” answered the lord.

“More… I want more… Can you do that again?” she asked.

That was a first for the young man. No woman had ever asked him for more.

As much as he wanted to, he was unsure how quickly he could perform his evil spirit for a second time.

Maybe a little breather would help. A bit of playful teasing would get him roaring again.

Of course, he had his own definition of ‘playful teasing’, but he got this notion his current “dancing” partner would agree with him.

He struck her with his cane. He made sure to start with the less sensitive bits, he didn’t want anything spilled prematurely.

Night defended herself clumsily, but she had been rocked pretty hard, was still shaken and was mostly just flailing around.

The young lord was quick of wit and feet, he went forward and back swiftly and easily rose up to the meek challenge Night offered.

His cane found its mark repeatedly, sending a jolt through Night every time.

Night seemed like she was having a good time and enjoying herself, though.

The elezen certainly didn’t mind, but all the exertion was getting to him. He was sweating a whole lot and was breathing pretty hard now. Panting, even.

Time to bring the action to its climax, he thought. And hoped because he really could not keep it up any longer.

Once more his whole body tensed up and then there was the same white flash as the first time.

Once more, Night was overwhelmed with pain and fell down face to the ground, writhing in agony.

“Mercy my lord, no more,” whined Night.

The elezen was satisfied with the outcome and also a little relieved. Going at it one more time would probably not have gone well.

He really wanted to take a nap right there and then, but his business wasn’t concluded yet.

He took the sword away from Night. No woman should carry this big a thing, he thought.

Then he went for Night.

Hearing him approach, she lifted her head and looked in his direction.

“You’re not letting me go, are you? Promise me you’re not letting me go.” she asked.

The young lord smiled, “I would not dream of it.”

He put one knee to the ground then helped her up. Night, much weakened, accepted his help graciously.

The man guided her toward the carriage, opened the door for her and locked the door once she was inside.

Before he could climb back on the carriage, Night asked him, “pray my lord tell me your name.”

“Until we are married, that’s Marquis de Sade to you darling.”
